Cam Akins is a Phoenix native who brings over a decade and a half of consultative sales experience to the Phoenix West Commercial team. Cam has a degree in Entrepreneurship & Business Management and leverages his strong business acumen to understand his clients’ needs and apply his knowledge effectively to help them achieve their goals. Prior to his licensure, he worked in finance and commercial insurance, where he honed his skills in relationship building and client service, paving the way for his transition into Commercial Real Estate. His dedication to client experience throughout his career resulted in his achievements including two-time receipt of the Berkshire Hathaway Award of Excellence, as well as his contribution to his insurance agency’s President’s Council awards which is only granted to the top 1% of agencies in the United States.

​A former two-sport college athlete, Cam played both basketball and ran track, demonstrating his drive, discipline, and commitment to success traits that have carried over into his professional life. As a husband and father of two, he values time with his family and balances his personal and professional responsibilities with care. Cam attributes his success to his ability to build strong relationships, grounded in honesty, intentionality, and thoroughness, and applies these principles in helping his clients in their Commercial Real Estate journey. He is currently pursuing his CCIM designation and serves on the CCIM Central Arizona Chapter’s Board of Education.
